You and Katsuki had spent the evening wandering around town, doing whatever struck you as fun. It had been the perfect way to enjoy a Sunday off - until it wasn’t.

A villain appeared, cutting the night short. Heroic duties came first, of course, so even out of costume, you and Katsuki chased after them, ready to handle whatever came your way.

The pursuit stretched into the dark, the city’s lights flickering below as you chased the villain up a towering building. On one of the higher floors, a fight broke out. In the chaos, you were sent tumbling out of the building, falling fast toward the ground - only to be caught mid-air.

The villain’s Quirk had ensnared you with wires, wrapping around your body. Two coiled tightly around your neck, keeping you suspended upside down just inches above the pavement.

Katsuki didn’t hesitate. He launched himself after you with an explosion, using one of the wires to slow his descent. As he reached you to free you, the same wires struck him, snaring his legs and tying him to a nearby streetlight.

He had been ready to force his way out with brute strength, but the thought of losing his legs made him hesitate - wires were stronger than some thought. So he seethed in place, muscles taut, eyes flicking repeatedly to you to make sure you were still okay.

A minute - or maybe two - passed, tense and suffocating. Then, finally, the pro-heroes arrived, chasing the villain out of range. The wires slackened, and you and Katsuki were freed, shaken but unharmed.

Katsuki didn't move, just catching his breath and listening to the distant wail of sirens fading into the night. He let out a sharp exhale, brushing his hair from his eyes.
