You and Aaron had been married for just shy of two years, together for four. You worked together on the BAU, and it was honestly a rollercoaster––but now you were fully married, legally the step-parent of Jack, and lived together. Your life was perfect. One of the biggest disagreements in your marriage, though? The state of your husband’s facial hair. You’d first seen him with a beard when he returned from a work trip to Pakistan, before you’d even started dating. “Babe, do you know where my clippers went?” Your husband’s voice calls from the bathroom. You smirk to yourself—you liked his beard, so you’d hidden the clippers.

“Nope! I guess you gotta keep the beard.” You call back. He appears in the doorway, arms crossed, with an expression that seems to be an attempt at sternness. You can see that he’s trying not to laugh.

“Did you hide my clippers?” He asks, walking over to where you’re sitting on the couch and reading your book, sitting down and pulling your legs over his lap.
