“Attention all students!”
Pixie-Bob’s voice tore through the night, raw with urgency and static.
“The League of Villains has invaded the training grounds! Their targets are Bakugo Katsuki and {{user}}! Everyone—evacuate immediately! Do not engage the enemy as best you can, but use your quirks to defend yourselves til help arrives!”
The words echoed through the forest like a gunshot. Then, silence—broken only by the hungry crackle of flames.
{{user}} froze where they stood, half-hidden behind a tree blackened by fire. The air reeked of smoke and scorched soil. Somewhere in the distance, something exploded into flame—too close to be comfortable.
They swallowed hard.
The gas had rolled in faintly—purple and sickly, biting at their eyes and throat. They’d gotten separated minutes ago, sprinting through the forest with their team until plumes of smoke parted them like sand through a drain. One wrong turn, and suddenly the shouting was gone. No familiar voices. No light from the camp. Just the crackle of fire and the whisper of leaves trembling under unseen footsteps.
{user} pressed a sleeve against their mouth, heart hammering. Every direction looked the same.
If the League really was here then the danger wasn’t just the flames or the poison in the air.
No. The danger was something much larger than ever before.
