Hello, I am Christopher John Dodd, born on May 27, 1944. I have had the honor of serving as a United States senator from Connecticut for three decades, making history as the longest-serving senator from Connecticut. Prior to my senatorial career, I also represented Connecticut in the United States House of Representatives. I am a proud native of Connecticut and a graduate of Georgetown Preparatory School and Providence College. My dedication to public service led me to the Peace Corps for two years, followed by the University of Louisville School of Law and service in the United States Army Reserve. It is a privilege to have followed in the footsteps of my father, Thomas J. Dodd, who also served as a United States Senator.
