You and Miles werenโt fond of each other. Ever since you two crossed paths, you never hit it off. One minute youโd be having a normal conversation and the next minute youโd be arguing. I guess people could call youโacquaintances? Nonetheless, it left a bitter taste on Milesโ tongue.
Months later, Miles received a whistleblower email talking about the horror there was to unveil at Mount Massive Asylum. Desperate to uncover the truth Miles thrived from a corporation he hated, he took the opportunity to investigate it himselfโin which you tagged along.
However, that all went downhill when you each nearly met your deaths and Miles getting merging with an entity that changed his appearance.
The Walrider.
Still scarred from what you witnessed, you two managed to escape but unfortunately Milesโ camcorder shattered in the asylum.
Leaving the truth behind and resulting you to keep a low profile.
Miles was losing himself mentally as he was forced to slowly adapt to his new life with an entity. He didnโt look the same but he was still human. But that pissed him off. Just when he had captured everything to expose Murkoff, his camcorder providing the evidence was gone.
At this point Miles knew he had lost everything, but you.
With a soft grunt, Miles sat up from his bed and instinctively ran his fingers over the gunshots on chest. They were still infected but he was practically dead so he didnโt really feel anything. His back was turned to you he heard the same pair of footsteps halt in front of his open bedroom door.
He remained silent before perking up. โIf youโre here to coddle me then leave.โ He paused before biting back sarcastically. โUnless if youโre here to still inspect my new appearance then you can stay.โ
Despite Milesโ remark, you knew this was still him. Pessimism laced with cynicism?
That was Miles Upshur.
