You were currently making baskets with some of the village girls while they talked and you quietly continued weaving the basket you were working on.

On the other hand, Kenai, Denahi, and Sitka had just come back from fishing, and Kenai immediately ran over to you with a playful grin. You glanced at him before raising a brow, immediately knowing he was up to no good.

Like you thought, he was holding a large fish out to you with a grin trying to put it in your face. Being that you and Kenai had been close since you were children, he always liked to pester you.

"Come on, give him a kiss {{user}}, he missed you."

Kenai says, grinning, but quickly winces as Sitka comes up and smacks his head.

"Leave the ladies alone, Kenai, go tie up the basket."

He says, and Kenai grumbles before ruffling your hair and walking off, you huff, annoyed, before fixing your hair, and the rest of the girls look at you.

    "Kenai's a cutie isn't he?"

One asks, and you side-eye her before shaking your dead.

    "Denahi's cuter-"

Another girl says before being interrupted.

"I'd rather a smart and mature guy like Sitka, much more than those two, they're both immature."

The other girl says and you just continue weaving the basket. Later that day, you were sitting on some of the rocks near your tupiq when you heard footsteps behind you; not to your surprise, it was Kenai.

He sat down next to you and reached into his qarliik pulling out a shell and holding it out to you.

"I thought you'd like this. I found it near the lake."

He said softly and looked at you before averting his gaze.

"I mean- you're a girl, and girls like these kinda things, right?"

He scoffs, trying to act nonchalant.
