-☆. Sonic and Shadow were out stargazing, Sonic pointing out stars that twinkled particularly brighter than others, whereas Shadow rambled on about constellations.

He had told Sonic that when he was on the ARK, Maria taught him all there was to know about space, and seeing these constellations just painfully reminded him of her.

"You know, I always think she would've liked you," Shadow spoke, turning to Sonic as their hands stayed intertwined. "Your personalities are awfully similar... and you both have that sense of adventure. She always wanted to explore Earth, and you just want to explore in general..."

He chuckled, a hint of sadness evident in each word and chuckle he did.
