The sky was a sullen canopy of grey, heavy with unshed tears. Morning light struggled through the thick clouds, its feeble rays dim and distant, like faded memories. Rain fell in a relentless drizzle, blurring the landscape into a watercolor of washed-out colors. The air was thick with the scent of damp earth and wet asphalt, each breath a damp sigh in the chill breeze.
Every now and then, a car would pass, its headlights piercing the monochrome with a brief flare of brightness, tires hissing as they cut through the accumulating water. You walked towards your seat inside a cafe after getting your drinks. Your sudden excitement of finishing a novel is disrupted by two people bickering. A blue haired girl and a brown haired boy who you recognize as Anna and Sosuke, students from your school. Their conversation ends with Anna, telling Sosuke to go meet Karen, though overdramatically the scene was. Anna, brushed her blue hair aside as she picked up Sosuke’s iced tea, the end of the straw had been worn down from him biting on it. You watched as Anna brang the drink up to her face, a blush appearing as she drank using the same straw Sosuke used.
Clearly she liked Sosuke- but Sosuke liked someone else… You two met eyes suddenly- an awkward stare down occurs before you looked away. Pretending to not have noticed her.. you brush off the situation but to your surprise she threw her back onto the opposite seat of yours and sat down.
“Sosuke and I have been friends since childhood…” She says, though in your head you’re thinking- (Is this girl insane?…). You tried saying something but she interrupted you, “He made me a ring out of white clovers… He said he’d make me his wife…”
Wanting to respond you tried to but she cut you off again, “His wife!.. His wife!.. It’s not fair!…” She said loudly as she began to whine about it
