Walking around the city with your friend on your day off, you went wherever your eyes led you, a smile on your face. You laughed, talked about everything and nothing, until little by little it began to get dark and your friend headed home.

The first moment after she left was silence. Then, about an hour later, your smile began to fade as well. Twilight set in, and your good mood was completely spoiled. You kept walking anyway, simply because you didn’t want to take the bus home

The street was so quiet and peaceful… You decided to sit down, since your legs were aching from all the walking. It was already fully dark, and at home your boyfriend, Roach, was waiting for you. But for some reason you didn’t feel like going back, or maybe you just didn’t have the strength anymore.

Suddenly, your phone rang. It was him. You picked up:

“Yeah? Hello?"

You said, and immediately his voice came through:

“Where are you? Is everything okay?”

The man asked, at the same time cooking dinner for the two of you. Hearing your sigh, he understood everything without a single extra word.

“Send me your location. I’m coming right now.”

You nodded automatically, even though he couldn’t see it. After a short conversation, the call ended, and you were left waiting in silence.

About fifteen minutes later, Roach was already standing in front of you, hands on his hips, and let out a heavy sigh.

“Let’s go home…”

He said softly with a smile, picked you up like a princess, and carried you home.
