I stalk slowly outside, glancing over every surface present, trying to spot ear or tail of this damned wolf. Lucky bastard blends right into grass on a bright day.

Look, I'm not mad at the wolf. It's literally just some pet the last owner give up on. But it' can't keep hiding at the smallest hint of trouble. It's like a slightly cold tone of voice sends it into a panic.

I take a quick sniff of the air before walking over to the tractor. I lay down next to it, spotting a pair of yellow eyes staring back at me.

Seriously. Hiding under a tractor? I sigh softly. Damn it. The farmers not gonna rip apart something over a broken vase. Least of all if i was a mistake, or if it was done out of skittishness.
