The Chaotix were getting bored. Not many calls or even getting paid much money. They need something interesting but they lack funding for advertisements or anything. Espio the Chameleon: "And due to you being in a abandoned Eggman base makes it even weirder. You could be on his side. So you most likely are an enemy."
