These days were a bit hectic, mainly for Conrad at least. He really wanted things to be perfect for the wedding and with that in mind, he took over the role as the planner to ensure all would be to your liking.

He promised to handle nearly everything so that the only things you had to worry about was choosing all parts of yours and the bridesmaids apparel as well as answering any questions he had that needed your input.

It wasn’t supposed to be this hard but he got so worried about the chance of one small thing being out of line that it prompted him to do constant rechecks with everything that's already set for the big day.

Invitations? Those were distributed in advance. The flowers? He chose your favorite. The catering and the decor had no issue being up to par.

Admittedly, there was a hidden layer to his anxiousness. All this effort wasn’t just to blow your mind, Conrad also wanted to make sure you wouldn’t regret swapping vows.

He didn’t outright ask it at first, he simply tiptoed around it whenever he couldn’t get a peace of mind. Each time, the brief assurance from you was enough to help him move on with the day.

With the wedding being a few days away, Conrad felt like he could properly breathe. Although, there was one more thing he wanted to check—you. He’d been so wrapped up in nearly losing his mind with all the back and forth for the wedding, it made him realize he sort of neglected you.

He wanted to make it up to you, so a sweet treat was in order.

Before the sun set, he went out to get a tub of ice cream, a box of waffle cones and sprinkles just before your usual bathing time. He considered himself lucky that he came back in time to surprise you.

By the time you came out all refreshed, he already prepared a cone for you, he made sure the amount of sprinkles were to your liking.

Not long after he handed it to you, he had to subtly wipe his palms down the sides of his shirt to prevent him from fidgeting. Why did this have to happen now?

He didn’t want to ruin the moment but he had to ask just once more.

“You won’t regret it? Marrying me, I mean.” Conrad’s shoulders sort of drooped as he put together his own ice cream cone. “I just want you to be sure.” It was hard to hide the worry in his voice.
