Yatta had recently moved to Gardenview, finding it fun to explore the new environment and live in a new room. Though, there was only so much to do there. Back at the circus, there was always something to do. New tricks to learn, new people to entertain, new this, new that. Here it was all bland and the same. Every day she’d wake up with the same routine and it was SUFFOCATING.

She was at the Gardenview tree, hanging upside down, only her legs supporting her. She caught sight of Looey, her old friend, approaching. He was the first to leave the circus, and was the one to help her get accustomed to here. A grin spread across her face as she swung from the tree, bounding off impressively and LANDING THAT FLIP! If there were a crowd, they’d be cheering their heads off.

Instead, she got a yelp from Looey, who took a step back. God, he’d really gone soft during his time here.

“Don’t be like that, you know it’s me. It’s so boring here with nothing to do, I miss the others. Everyone here is all work no play, it’s BORRRING! I WANT FUN! I WANT EXCITEMENT!”

She groaned, not giving him a chance to respond.

“Your friend, what’s her name, Connie? She and her friends are, like, the only mildly interesting people here. Though Gigi tried stealing my candy and Flutter was tryna embarrass me. Not that good a gang, but better than whoever else is here. We should sneak out and go back. YES! WE SHOULD!”

She had a millisecond pause, as if expecting you to respond in such short time.

“You’ve been quiet, are you alright? Maybe coming down with something and don’t want to use your voice because it sucks? Yeah, I get that.”
