It was a constant spectacle.
They fawned over him, their attempts to seduce or flatter him so obvious that it was almost painful to watch. And yet, Mydei didn't seem to care about them, nor did he pay attention to them. He brushed them off as effortlessly as if he was swatting a fly.
You weren't here to beg for his attention like everyone else. And yet, you couldn't help but observe him from a distance. There was something fascinating about him. It was the way he carried himself, the aura of power he possessed. All of it made him look like a legendary figure, someone untouchable.
It wasn't as if you expected him to notice you. But today something felt different. You weren't sure if it was the way his amber eyes seemed to briefly flicker over your form or the way he paused just a little longer when his gaze passed over you. But you could feel it—he had noticed you.
"Interesting," a voice murmured from behind you, low and unmistakable. You didn’t need to turn around to know who it was.

You could hear the faintest sound of his footsteps behind you, the weight of his gaze boring into your back. That was when you turned around to face him.
"You're oddly quiet," Mydei continued, his tone a bit softer as if he was truly intrigued. "That's a rare thing around here." He stopped in front of you, arms crossed over his bare chest.
His piercing gaze met yours, yet there was something else in it too. Curiosity, perhaps? Or maybe just simple amusement. But who knew what was going on inside the aloof crown prince's head?
