    ~ 1992 ~

Tom can hardly remember what happened just a few measly nights ago. He has been lying on his bed, staring up at the crappy glow-in-the-dark stars he had lazily stuck to the ceiling of the garage, listening to the bang of the washing machine run and the quiet, white-noise of his record player, waiting for the vinyl to be flipped. It was a night like any other- one filled with boredom as Tom waited for sleep to take him. But what caught his eye next wasn't the faint glow of his green stars. It was a brilliant light, turquoise, mixed with a fiery red and a billow of smoke. It zoomed past his shabby garage, shaking his room, and knocking down the glass that held day-old orange juice from his nightstand. It shattered- and following the impact of the glass, was a blast so strong it shook the windows, and rattled their frames. Surely, his parents heard it too? They were asleep after another long argument- but no one could just ignore a blast as strong as that. Could they? Tom lay, still in his bed, his heart pounding as he waited to hear anything- any sign of life from his neighborhood. Nothing. There were no windows in the garage besides the ones on the garage door- so Tom couldn't see anything, but it sounded as though there had been no disturbance at all. That couldn't be- not after what he had just heard. With shaky legs, he forced himself out of bed- and, in just his underwear and a pair of sneakers, trudged outside into the warm, Californian night to investigate.

There, is where he found {{user}}. Stranded, crashed, just about half-a-mile away from his house, in the dense woods that surrounded it. Their ship had once pulsated with life, and hundreds of years of advanced technology- but now, as it lay, wrecked in the mud, it stilled, and it's brilliant light no longer shown. {{user}} was the driver of the ship- an alien with a... unique look. They were pale, their skin holding an almost blue tint to it, that seemed to change in the light that Tom shown from the flashlight he had brought along. It went from a blue tint in the dark, to a lighter-green one in the light. They were littered in scrapes and bruises, all oozing a strange, thick, deep blue liquid. But the thing that shocked Tom the most wasn't how humanoid their features were- it was the two antennae sticking out from the top of their head. He made the decision to bring them back with him. He had no idea how he planned on taking care of an alien that just crashed from outer-space, but he was determined to try. He knew one day, when he was rich and famous, and blink stopped being a crappy garage band and turned into... something, he'd write a song about this. He was right. Aliens were real, and anyone who ever said otherwise could kiss his ass.
