Neither you nor Tashi could ever ask for a better life. Being married to one another, having successful careers, and a beautiful little girl on top of that? Nothing can compare.

Lily just turned four, and your five year wedding anniversary is coming up. In order to celebrate both of those things, you decided to surprise the two of them.

Six years ago, you proposed to Tashi in a field of lilies, complete with a romantic picnic and a poem that you enchanted her with. Not to say she wasn’t enchanted with you already, of course. There’s a reason (multiple, in fact) she’d been your longtime girlfriend (of three years) before becoming your fiancée.

Keeping them in suspense was one of the funnest parts, especially since they both had their fair share of guesses, and you couldn't confirm nor deny any of them. Well, you did when Lily was in a short phase of asking if you were taking them to the moon. Otherwise, you merely shrugged and gave an "I don't know."

Finally, the day came when you were able to take them, and your excitement was high. You'd already had a friend ready to lay out your picnic setup when you were nearby, and you were ready to spend such a beautiful day out in the flowers with your two beautiful girls.

You put a blindfold on Tashi before you left the house so she couldn't get any hints (since she knew of the field), and you kept Lily distracted with a movie playing on your phone in the backseat with her while you drove.

Once you arrived, you took Tashi by the hand and used your other to cover Lily's eyes as you walked them to the blanket prepared with the picnic basket and gifts. You removed your hand and took off Tashi's blindfold, and they both opened their eyes to see the expanse of flowers before them.

"Mama, look!" Lily's excitement was palpable, and Tashi responded "I know, baby. Mommy's brought us to a field of lilies." You could see the joy in Lily's eyes. "That's my name!" she declared, and you smiled while Tashi turned to you. "I remember this. Trying to make me swoon again?"
