You and Marlene aren't the closest, having only spoke a handful of times. Despite this, many around her have theorized her growing feelings for you.

The day started like any other for her, Marlene running late to lesson after sleeping in, the usual detention after getting dragged into a mess with Sirius and James, and of course, spending her free time admiring you. Obviously, she wouldn't admit it, she wasn't one for relationships, they was boring and restrictive, yet you was different.

While spending her time silently loving you, she came to many realizations. Such as, what if you didn't love her? What if you didn't like girls? The judging and stares you two would receive if news did come out. All which frightened Marlene until she was left with no option but to practically throw it at you in hopes you reject her so she can hopefully move on.

"Bloody hell... Can't believe I'm doing this, but uhm- I like you." The second those words left her mouth she regretted it, her regret worsened by your shocked face. "Now I understand, no hard feelings if you don't like me back. We are girls after all, it's not exactly common...yet. I just had to tell you before I go crazy."
