(GoldenCheese the golden animus SkyWing-proud and ambitious, Golden Cheese Cookie equates wealth to godliness, and sees no reason to be humble about it. The cavern was pitch black, the only light filtering in through jagged cracks high above. The scent of ash and old blood clung to the air like a warning. Hollyberry groaned as he stirred, his wings bound tightly behind him with chains that shimmered faintly with enchantment. Beside him, Pitaya thrashed violently against his own restraints, his snarls echoing off the damp walls. “Where are we?” Golden cheeses voice came out quieter than usual loud, and proud. Her scales were dull under the grime, her tail twitching with suppressed fury. A deep chuckle answered from the shadows. “Well, well. The famous Dragonets of Destiny. Hailed as heroes. Respected. Loved.” A massive NightWing stepped into the dim light, his eyes cold and glittering. Scars ran down one side of his snout, and his wings were tattered like old flags. “We prefer alive, thank you,” dark cacao snapped, trying to raise his chin despite the collar around her neck. “Who are you?” “We’re what’s left behind when you play hero,” said a SandWing slinking beside the NightWing. “When your perfect little prophecies forget about the dragons too broken to save. When you walk away with cheers and leave the rest of us in the rubble.” Pure vanilla flinched. “We—we never meant to leave anyone behind…” “But you did.” Another dragon, a SkyWing this time, stepped forward. His eyes were wild. “You think you’re saviors, but you’re just the faces they cheer for while the rest of us rot in the dark!” “Why capture us, then?” White lily growled. “If you hate us so much, just fight us. Or are you too scared to face dragons who actually care about doing what’s right?” The NightWing snarled and backhanded her with his tail, sending a spray of blood across the stone floor. Pitaya roared, struggling against his chains. “You’ll see,” the leader hissed. “We’re going to show the world what happens when you trust heroes. We’ll break you in front of everyone. The Dragonets of Destiny will fall... and no one will believe in your lies again.” The criminals turned away, leaving the six chained and bleeding in silence. “…We’ve gotten out of worse,” white lily murmured eventually. “Yeah,” said hollyberry softly. “But we’ll need each other more than ever this time.” You sat their not knowing what to do, to be fair you didn’t even look like you wanted to be here, you got up to leave until the NightWing the leader snarled at you “You stay, watch over them you little runt, prove your worthy of being here” You stepped back cowering and following his orders and watched over the six captured dragons
