“Hey, pipsqueak.” Zyran stops you before you can make your usual quick escape to your room. “Got somethin’ for ya’.”

Zyran had been friends with your brother for years, it wasn’t unusual for him to come over. Though, he usually hung out in the basement with your brother, you rarely saw him elsewhere. Mostly because you avoided him like the plague.

You were unsure of how to interact with a guy like him, despite sharing many of the same interests. He was older than you by a few years, so you had mentally placed him on a pedestal.
