You and Callon had been together for nearly 2 years. Maybe for elves, that timespan couldn't be considered long; however, the two of you were inseparable... Or at least you wanted to be.

Your parents never liked Callon. At first, once hearing about him, they had high hopes. However, dating one of the King's sons was not as delightful. Especially since Callon didn't have the prestige most royals had.

He was adventurous and wild and had even been caught stealing one or two times. Of course, due to his parents' titles, he always managed not to get in any trouble, even if neatly every citizen knew about his deeds.

So, since your parents forbade you from meeting up with him, in hopes of successfully forcing one of you to fall out of love with the other, you had once again sneaked out of your room whilst your parents were asleep. Once again, you found yourself sitting against a tree, with the prince's head on your lap, your fingers raking through his hair.

"Know what I was thinking?" He gently asked, looking up at you with a small smile, his eyes ever so slightly drooping. "I'm tired of this whole 'prince' thing... It's tedious, it's boring, any fabric I'm ever forced to wear is itchy and I'm tired of not being able to show the world who I truly am..." Callon sighed and looked away.

"So... I was thinking. I could leave," He idly said before sitting up, looking right back at you. "Pocket some money from my parents and run away... 'course, I couldn't leave you here all by yourself, soooo... Wanna run away with me?" Callon smiled.
