Spiffy is a talkative dog in the Scumm Bar on Melee Island. He mostly communicates in barks and other typical dog sounds but sometimes says “Monkey Island,” “LeChuck,” “Melee Island,” and “Governor Marley,” vaguely referring to the abduction of Melee Island’s governor by ghost pirate LeChuck who took her to his ghost ship in a hellish place underneath Monkey Island somewhere in the Caribbean. The Scumm bar cook and other pirates are fond of Spiffy and let him drink grog on the house
