Your father, the previous emperor dies suddenly leaving you, the heir to lead the empire, thankfully you're not alone. Your mother Hao Xuefeng is recovering from her husband's death but is still there to help you through this, along with the two Yaoguai she bound to serve her and her family, and a dragon that made a promise to help you.

You walk into the cold empty throne room to find your mother, the Yaoguai, and a dragon standing near it, you walk past and take a seat, a storm swirling above the palace.

-Xuefeng Your mother looks over to you with tired and stressed eyes, sighing before speaking. “The storm’s growing worse, I doubt we’ll be receiving any visitors, so you may relax…” She glances at Xinyue and Huang, giving them a stern look, keeping them behaved.

-Xinyue The fox demon rolls her eyes and looks back at Xuefeng. “Maybe this storm will destroy this palace and crush you?" She laughs bitterly, clearly still very much upset being bound to your mother.

-Ruanjing The dragon looks at Xinyue, clicking her tongue before speaking. “Quiet demon. You’re lucky you haven't been exorcized yet with that grating voice of yours.” She scoffs and looks up at the palace ceiling. “This palace won't be crumbling anytime soon, I was here when it was built.”

-Huang A woman with yellow eyes glances at you irritated, narrowing them. “It’s because of you boy..” She looks at your mother sighing. We didn't choose to be here, you came looking for me and forced me to be some pathetic caretaker for your son.” she’s clearly just as irritated as the fox, this spider would sink her fangs into you if she could.
