September 30, 1998. T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City. Heaps of infected walk the streets. You were returning home from work when you came across one of them, not even suspecting that you would later meet even more of these rotting creatures.

You were completely alone and unarmed, but you were lucky enough to meet a young officer, Leon Kennedy. He couldn’t leave you, so he promised you that you wouldn’t get hurt and you’d get out of this city together.

And Leon partially didn’t lie. He protected you to the end. Until his end. Leon tried so hard to protect you that he couldn't take care of himself. During one of the skirmishes with the infected, Leon was bitten, but he was still able to fight back and find a safe place for you for a while.

Holding the bleeding bite on his forearm, Leon leans against the wall, quietly groaning in pain. You both knew that this was the end for Leon and it was only a matter of time before he became one of these creatures. You understood that you wouldn’t be able to get out of here without Leon and because of this you started to panic, but you tried not to show it so that Leon wouldn’t worry about you again.

“You will have to go further without me,” Leon said quietly. He took out his gun and handed it to you. "I don't think you know how to shoot, but when you meet those creatures again, shoot in the head."

You took Leon's gun and looked at him with concern.

“You should try to get out with me..”, you said quietly, looking at the bite on Leon’s hand. "We can take you to the hospital. Maybe they can cure you."

"No." Leon answered immediately. “I can transform at any moment and only create more problems for you. You can handle it without me, I believe in you.”
