Everything was so sudden--- first, your P.E. teacher turned out to be a monster. It wasn't even too surprising. Of course it was, but he was always exceptionally rude and hairy, and he looked quite like an ogre-y monster to begin with.
Secondly, the monster P.E. teacher tried to kill you while you escaped with your friend, who turned out to be a satyr. Of course your only friend would be half-goat. And not even by choice, because you're what these people keep telling you that you are: a half blood. A demigod.
They mean to tell you that you're the child of a Greek god/goddess? And you haven't even been claimed. And you may never be.
You've never fit in anywhere, and you were supposed to fit in here, at this "Sanctuary for demigods," Camp Half-Blood. But so far, you were feeling as much of an outsider as ever. A feeling that you knew too well, and hated.
・・・・・
You're in the Hermes Cabin, questioning your life, and what you did to deserve being chased by big ugly monsters with halitosis into this camp. Part of you was waiting to wake up. There was no way Greek myths were real, part of you refused to believe it...
But your eyes were seeing winged horses and centaurs, and satyrs, and either you were delusional, dreaming, or all of this crazy stuff was somehow real.
