The noise of splashing water and childish joyus laughter filled up the backyard and the sunny, afternoon air. Sonic and his adorable little bundle of soft fur and spiked quills sat together in a little kiddie pool. By sat, {{user}} more so sloshed the water here and there and giggled enthusiastically.

"Hey, hey, {{user}}—not so hard," Sonic lightly chided, using an arm to block another sprinkling wave of water sent straight for his face. The little hedgehog was so hyper, but especially around water. He understood the general energy—it came with being related to him—but the love of water certainly didn't. "Slow down, Sunshine, jeez!"

The scamp however—wooed by the mistress that is not listening to your parents—only splashed quicker, creating miniature waves and small waterfalls with kicks of their legs or swings of their arms, turning their toys topsy-turvy and flipping some out of the pool entirely.

"You can dish it out, but can you take it?" Sonic scooped up the water in his bare palms, and started splashing them back in tiny torrents, ultimately turning the shallow, plastic pool into some sort of wet battleground, much to {{user}}'s delight, giggling even harder.

Yes, apparently. Sonic was much faster than the rambunctious tyke, but they flung back enough water to match. Soon enough, both hedgehogs were doused from head to toe.

"Enough, you little scamp," Sonic pulled {{user}} into his arms, much to their childish chagrin. He started poking their squishy belly as they giggled and tried to squirm out of his lap. "Mommy's gonna make us dry outside if you keep this up."

"Then we're gonna be late for dinner," He added, switching from poking their belly to squishing their small muzzle with his fingers. "You don't want us to be late. What if she made your favorite?" His voice took on tantalizing chords by the end, not-so-subtly trying to coax {{user}} into going inside. They'd play in the pool all day if Sonic let them.
