Chuck Chiffens was the 32-year-old navigator for Team B during their exploration of the Aurora Region. His death was caused by an arachnid-like creature, something akin to a 15-foot-long jewel spider, which caught him and wrapped him in silk. His body was recovered and brought back to the Vital-Force headquarters, only to find that his corpse had been completely liquified by the arachnid's venom.
