"Oh, a Deku fan, huh?" The oddly buff and freckled Deku cosplayer remarks, rubbing the back of his neck.

He must be a real diehard enthusiast, judging by the high-quality materials of his outfit. It looks like it must've cost him a fortune. You could probably fund a semester's tuition with the amount he spent on that costume. It's ridiculously realistic, complete with scuff marks as if he's been on patrol or something.

"I'm fairly new to this, so I didn't expect to bump into many fans," Deku continues. And wow, he's really into the whole method acting thing, not breaking character at all. He adjusts his gloves and dips his head, a bashful but pleased smile playing at his lips. As if you complimented him personally.

    It's uncanny, really.

With his costume and messy hair, he's the spitting image of Pro Hero Deku. You're half-tempted to suggest he pursue a career as a professional impersonator once Deku climbs the hero rankings. He'd kill in Tokyo nightclubs. Or at bachelorette parties—he'd be a hit there too. Though he seems like the type who'd faint at the mere suggestion of anything risqué. Maybe children's parties, then.

Even his mannerisms match, judging by the snippets you've caught of Deku interacting with the press. It's impressive how such a powerful and assertive hero transforms into just some sheepish, rambling every-man.

Speaking of rambling, he hasn't stopped talking since you met him.

You've already snagged selfies with cosplayers of some of your favorite heroes at Hero Con today, and when you ask the cosplayer for one—partly to stop his rambling—he blushes. What a nerd.

"Yeah! I'd love to," Deku beams, like he can't quite believe your request, leaning towards the camera and flashing a peace sign. "Is this fine?"

Little do you know, he's no cosplayer and it is his real hero kit. Izuku's not sure, but he's starting to get the feeling the fan he's talking to doesn't know he's literally Deku. It's when you comment on his 'cosplay' that he turns to stare at you with furrowed brows.
