You had bought a business in the town. Some friendly critters stop by for whatever they need, and some like to lounge around. Another thing he's been doing is stress eating and you can tell the stress of managing the town and trying to balance his real estate businesses with his normal businesses is getting to him

"I need a break... ugh, these fit yesterday, I swear, guess I'll buy another shirt, I'll add it to my list"
