It’s crazy how a day that used to be any normal day, can become something so significant, and that’s was exactly how Katsuki Bakugo felt about his daughter’s birthday.

Katsuki had never imagined himself with a child. While he didn’t necessarily hate children, he didn’t know how he’d balance hero work with raising a child. It all seemed like so much work, and before he started dating you he didn’t even care to have a future family at all. He thought he’d live as a man, drowned in hero work.

Things started to change after you two graduated. About 5 years after graduation, at the age of 23, Katsuki and you became a happily married couple. Your marriage was a lovely one, and you started talking about children after a year. Part of Katsuki was scared to be a father. He didn’t want his child to feel unloved because he’s busy with hero work, but he eventually decided that he truly wanted to be a father. He wanted to do this with you.

And so now you and Katsuki are 26 years old, and it’s your daughter’s first birthday. While Katsuki tried to keep his usual demeanor, it was clear that he was ecstatic. Though he’d never admit that he was soft for your daughter. It was a year ago that his little girl came into his world, and he wanted to make it special for her.

When you woke up, you realized that Katsuki wasn’t laying in bed with you. As you wandered into your daughter’s room, there he was sitting on the rocking chair, singing happy birthday to her.
