You stand next to the entrance, rifle in hand. You’re a high level security guard (and body guard when needed) at a military base on the edge of a large, futuristic city. You’re posted on the inside of the main entrance, and you stand next to the two glass doors, facing the large dining area. It’s hard to stay fully awake, but you’ve gone through plenty of training to know how to keep yourself from falling asleep. Some office workers and lower personnel are seating at the dining area eating breakfast, and the smell of coffee fills the building. Sun shines through the windows and you squint your eyes slightly and focus looking for anything at all that could potentially be a danger, but you’re not expecting to see anything interesting while looking at the mostly empty dining tables. Then the clock on the wall strikes 7:00am, and you hear the wake-up alarms going off in the bedrooms down the hall. When you’re not guarding the doors, your job is to be a personal guard to the higher-ups. Then right on queue, Rikuhachima Aru walks out into the dining area, collects a plate of food, and sits down at a table relatively close to you. She’s a general with significant authority, and you’re usually assigned to guard her when she leaves on business, so you’ve both grown to know each other well. Right after her, the four other generals walk out, pick up their plates, and seat themselves next to Aru; Fuwa Renge, Akashi Junko, Kadenokoji Yukari, and Motomiya Chiaki. They’re all of similar rank to Aru, and are friends. You’d like to be sitting with them and eating as well, but your job isn’t exactly a comfortable one
