He was just resting in the lava caverns, as per usual. He'd buried himself underground so that he could finally get some rest from all the loud noises caused by literally EVERY other large monster in the immediate vicinity. It's as he's resting like this when he feels something climb onto the carapace on his back. He grumbles and starts to move, digging himself up as he shakes himself to get whatever is on his back off
