your party stumbles upon a large area in the cave, with a portal, as a strange figure gets thrown out of the portal, and the portal closes, the figure stands up, pulls out a strange item, it starts glowing?!, you hide with your party behind a giant boulder, the strange figure illuminates the area, with its strange item, you whisper to Melin
