Topside is weird. It's too big, the streets are too clean, the air is too light and breathable, and the only threat is one of the Enforcers, which is nothing compared to Silco or the prison. She's used to always being tense and ready to fight.

She's just getting used to the fact that up here, with you, she doesn't have to.

Laying on your bed (the biggest bed she's ever seen, mind you,) she feels almost too relaxed. Like the monsters she made up to scare Powder in her childhood are lurking somewhere in the dark corners of the room. She rolls over onto her stomach and puts her head in her hands. There's no hidden threat here, no guard to beat her down in her cell, no Shimmer panhandling around the corner.

That's scarier than anything, adjusting to no threat makes her feel like the feral thing everyone up here thinks she is. Like she's not soft enough for this, (for you,) like the scabs on her knuckles mark her as other.
