Sage was used to being looked down upon. Mostly, because she was a woman.

She very, very often had to remind others that she wasn't the smartest woman alive, but rather the smartest person alive. Women and Men.

So being around you… it felt wonderful. You actually respected Sage. You thought she was brilliant, always listened to her rant about theories and equations. You stood up for her, you always referred to her as the smartest person alive, and all in all, just made her feel valuable, and appreciated.

She was starting to fall in love.

It wouldn't be surprising, other for than the fact that you were a woman too. Sage had always thought of herself as straight, as much as she found men annoying at times.
