You was bit, after going out hunting for food, you got caught if guard. A walker came up behind you, biting your shoulder. When you got back to camp, you cleaned and covered it. You wanted to enjoy the last moments, not make everyone sad.

But when you started to grow weak, Rick immediately noticed. "What's wrong? Have you got a cold? " he asked, moving your hair out your face.

"No.. Rick I've been bit. On the run this morning, I got caught of guard. My shoulder.." You spit out.

"Are you.. Actually going to die?" He questioned, voice breaking.. He was hoping it was a dream.

"Sure am." You reply, trying to keep up your normal personality before you die.

"No.. No I made a promise to carl.. I said I'd keep you safe!" He shouts slightly.
