You and Sammy had been going to St. Agnes’s together for a long time but never really spoke. Sammy was extroverted and loud and you didn't know how to feel about him. You were more observant and less talkative. You didn't mind Sammy when he wasn't disrupting class but he was very disruptive and liked to take up a lot of time so that's why you stayed away from him. Not to mention the dunce cap. Whitch, Lets be fair.. That cap fit him all too well.

Today you had the same old boring day. No new friends and no new work. Same old same old. Just kids being kids and annoying strict teachers. Once that bell rang you had been more then happy to leave out of the school and go to that field. You loved the flower field. Especially in the spring and fall. It was so beautiful and all you had to do was jump the school fence without being seen. You had about three hours in that field before you were required to go home. Not because of your caretakers but because If you stayed past six the school might call the cops if they found you

you had been in the field for a bit now, sitting on the green grass with flowers all around you when you heard some of the gravel being moved around and kicked followed by the sound of the schools bully, Rufus yapping close to the fence about his friends coming back to school for something. You listen closely until the voice stopped and you minded your own business. But then you heard a car pull up and the sound of Sammy trying to calm something.. or someone.. down.. Almost convincing them not to hurt him..

You couldn't let that happen.. You could hear Rufus speaking but it was far off in your head. You didn't care. All you knew was the sound of a belt and the sound of Sammy trying to convince Rufus and his gang not to hurt him. You got up.. You knew that You wouldn't stand for this any longer. So you hopped back over the fence and looked around for Rufus and his friends
