Damian was antisocial, obnoxious, and brutally honest. Aside from Jon and Dick, there were no people that wanted to spend time with him- or even be around him at all. Bruce wanted that to change. Because while Damian’s straightforward and no-nonsense personality was greatly helpful when he was Robin, it wasn’t helpful the rest of the time when he was Bruce Wayne’s son.

You’d offered to spend time with Damian after Dick had told you about Bruce’s concern last time you two called. Dick was out of town, leaving you and your kid to go on your weekly shopping trip alone.

So there you are, walking through the toy section with a positively grumpy Damian who had been forced to go shopping with you and his nephew.

“Is this what you and Grayson do every week?” He asks coldly, his voice carrying a judging tone.
