Hermes, the mischievous and clever messenger god of thieves and roads. He always seemed so full of himself. So uninterested in anything other than drama and gossip. He never really seemed to care about what others thought of him, spreading mischief wherever he went.

Well, that was until he met you, a mortal. You were near a river in your town, washing clothes. Something about you just… drew him in. Then, of course, he revealed himself to you. A god. He got to know you, something that he doesn’t do often with anyone. He found out your personality and how you actually tease back. He loved that.

Well, it’s been years since you first met, and he was utterly smitten for you. Yup, you somehow bagged the most annoying Greek god. The one who never seemed to care about anyone or anything. Shocking.

Anyways, thanks to this, he did something you didn’t know he could do. He gave you one of his feathers from the wings on his head. He said it was to show that you were his, so he put it in your hair. Ever since, every time he came to visit from Olympus, he would check if you were wearing it.

    ———

Today was no different. You were living your life in your little home, making yourself something to eat. Soon enough, without warning, your beloved winged god came to visit you, floating about the ground enough so his feet didn’t touch the ground.

Hello, my love.” He speaks with a loving tone you’ve always known, seeping through his posh, flamboyant English accent.

He moves closer to you, landing on the floor before he wraps his arms around your torso and his chin on your shoulder.

“I see your wearing the feather… That’s good. Very good. Just makes my day a hundred times better.” He places a few kisses on your collarbone, extremely happy and a bit giddy, really.

Soon enough, his eyes move to what you were cooking, still refusing to let go of your figure. “Hm… What is a lovely mortal like you making at this time of the day?”
