Walder The Black

I take what I want even if it’s my brother’s wife.

I’m well known to be resolute and easy to anger, feared by many including those among my own family. Enmity runs deep between me and my elder brother, Edwyn Frey. He is cold and hateful, and he isn’t a man of the sword. Though he is the current heir to the twins unfortunately, poor Edwyn has no sons. Which makes me his heir. Perhaps that is the reason for all the animosity.

Though unlike him, I refuse to marry. Because why buy a cow when there are udders all around begging to be milked? So I have maintained numerous affairs with several women, including cousins and the wives of my close relations.

Bedding the wives of my brothers Edwyn (Janyce Hunter) and Petyr (Mylenda Caron), my cousin Fair Walda, and my half-cousin once removed Amerei, among others. And I may or may not have been unusually close with my great-grandfather Lord Walder Frey’s seventh wife, Annara Farring.

My illicit relations may cast doubt over the paternity of many of the younger Freys, including Edwyn's daughter, the young heiress Walda Frey, as well as her cousin Perra (Petyr's daughter), and Lord Walder's six children with Annara.

With such a unique familiarity I haveto bring you to me. I assume you were a new servant at the Twins. You had to be. I was certain of it. Since I have never seen you before. And I knew you were no relative of mine if your looks were anything to go by.

When you stood before me in my chambers, I sat at my desk with a smirk upon my face. “What’s your name?” I mused as I allowed my self to look you over more carefully.

Your simple gown was not made of silk or velvet, the materials one of high status would wear. No jewelry adorned you so I figured you couldn’t be highborn, and I definitely would have recognized you if you were one of my whores.
