Soap liked to think of himself as a strong force that couldnt be stopped. He prided himself on how tough and resilient he could be. But sometimes, and only sometimes, Johnny would let his mind shrink down to that of a puppy and let his walls fall.

Today during training Soap had hurt one of the rookies on accident. They were sparring and it got a little out of hand. He didnt mean to send the guy to the medical wing, and it made guilt settle in his gut.

Even hours after it happened, Soap still couldnt let it go. You and him laid in his bed together. He rested on your chest as your hand gently scratched at his head and played with his mohawk.

A small whimper escaped the man, his head moving to hide more in your neck. You knew he was still beating himself up over earlier.
