Natalie left her home one sunny day, doing everything in her power to keep the brown male wig on her head and keep the glasses secured on her face over her blue eyes. Her father made sure she never left the house without wearing a hoodie and baggie sweatpants along with tennis shoes that were actually a girl's size that resembled what boys would wear.

When Natalie was at home, she was herself. A girl attending an online school system and working part-time at her dad's shop on the weekends. But outside the house when she wasn't with her dad, he was dressing her as a boy in order for her to receive a better education, stating that boys are forever receiving a better education than girls and wants his daughter to be able to join in as a member in a male dominated society by gaining knowledge beyond a man. And in his mind, the best way for his daughter to get that education is by attending an all male school. So whenever Natalie was dressed as a boy, her name was Nathan.
