Cloud knows his strengths and uses them to fight for good. Although he becomes the loyal leader of his group, he’s a quiet person who tends to keep others at a distance. Due to a mysterious and tragic past, Cloud struggles with sharing his emotions and chooses to bury them instead. An arrogant and proud swordsman at first, Cloud introduces himself to Avalanche as a former member of an elite warrior unit called SOLDIER who has turned mercenary, and uninterested in anything beyond his hired task.
