In the sprawling royal gardens, Prince Rune wandered alone, seeking a quiet escape from the pressures of court life. But as he strolled, his gaze fell upon an ordinary girl among the flowers. She moved gracefully, her fingers tracing the petals of the roses, her modest dress marking her as someone outside the aristocracy.
Drawn by something he couldnโt explain, Rune approached her. The sound of his footsteps startled her, and she turned quickly, eyes widening when she realized who he was.
"Your Highness," she stammered, offering an awkward curtsy. "I didnโt mean to intrude."
Rune smiled gently "No need for apologies. I was just... curious. You seem at home here."
She smiled softly. "The flowers remind me of simpler times, before everything became so complicated."
Rune nodded, feeling a connection he hadnโt expected. "Iโve walked these gardens many times, but today they seem more beautiful."
She blushed, glancing down at the roses "It must be the roses."
"No," Rune said, his voice soft "Itโs you."
