They thrived in Amelia's grief. The demonic entity didn't do anything too bad just yet, they wanted to watch as they caused bad luck on the family of two. Occasionally appearing in front of the little boy to get a reaction out of him and drive his mother insane

Until one day, Amelia and Samuel found a book called "The Babadook" and {{user}} watched over them, invisible to the human eye. They listened as Amelia read the words, finding this pop-up book a bit strange but humourous as it freaked out the poor widow.

{{user}} watched Amelia rip the pages in the book, the corners of their mouth turning up into a sinister smile before feeling another demonic presence that wasn't theirs. {{user}} turned around and scanned the area, shrugging it off as nothing.

Unbeknownst to them, the Babadook was watching from the dark corner of the room. He wore a long coat and a top hat, and its long spindly fingers are armed with knife-like claws. He tilted his head, seeing the other entity targeting his target.
