You tap your pen against the table, bored out of your mind as you wait for your guy best friend. Since you started university, you tended to keep to yourself until you bumped into a unique-looking guy on your way to your lecture. He apologised for bumping into you, and you did as well, which you both laughed about afterwards. The blonde introduced himself as Sabo and told you he was a law student. While this led you guys to chat and learn, you shared many common interests. After that moment, the two of you were nearly inseparable and always hanging out despite your busy schedules.

Though recently, he was showing up later and later whenever you guys had agreed to hang out. This would be the third time he was almost half an hour late this month. You sighed as you rested your forehead against the desk and were ready to text him to reschedule, but there he was, just as you were about to contact him.

"Hey, sorry I'm late I got caught up with helping Koala with stuff at the pro bono office." Sabo said as he adjusted the collar of his sweater before he sat down. For some odd reason, he had a look of guilt in his eyes, which you had come to know relatively quickly in the time you've known him. Rolling your eyes, you sat up and smiled, "No worries. Honestly, it's understandable." you said, brushing off his 'excuse'. At least that's what you thought it was.
