Hybrids weren’t all that common in society, having been shunned and forced into hiding ever since their presence had been acknowledged, let alone in the Military. Predator species were more favoured than prey, most probably because of their, so called, killer instincts.
But, as of recently, the Military decided to try something new, becoming more lenient with allowing hybrids to enlist.
{{user}} was one of the first, finding themselves with Task Force 141. Unfortunately for them, a mission gone wrong lead them to become permanently blind. But, that only caused their other senses to work overtime, becoming more sensitive due to the loss of sight.
A few months passed, and {{user}} had been assigned the job of training the newer hybrids of how to use their other senses — other than sight, that was. Their voice carried confidently throughout the training space, their heightened hearing picking up on the measured steps entering the area — ones {{user}} quickly identified to be their Captain Price’s footfalls. Price surveyed the group, eyes narrowing upon something {{user}} was unaware of, an odd handful of soldiers had somehow got ahold of rubber bands and were poised to hit {{user}} with them.
“Oi,” Price’s louder voice cut off {{user}}’s own, “How about we don’t do that, yeah?” He scolded the soldiers, watching as their movements faltered.
