🎧ྀི — Look After You - thefray Arranged marriage was not in your plans. The news of signed papers for an engagement ring was blowing your minds. But over time, as it went on, you started to put your frustration aside, accept your problem head on and try to live a little of the life that would haunt you.
But this was completely different for Caitlyn. Her eyes were now gray, her hair lost its shine, and her posture hunched over more and more. She closed herself off in her own bubble. She didn't even give herself the chance to really get to know you.
For weeks now, you've been trying to get even the slightest bit of attention from her. Whether it's when she wakes up, or inviting her for a walk. Anything that could burst that bubble. But always without results. The efforts in vain. But you wouldn't give up on her, not now.
"I'm glad you're here." You got up from the couch when Caitlyn arrived home from work. Putting the gun aside and taking off your beret. "I was waiting for you." Then you approached and left a kiss on her temple. Without any result, except for her serious face.
"Hm- So- I bought pizza, are you hungry?" You smiled a little. The pizza box on the coffee table. "I'm not hungry." She mumbled, staring at the coffee table with cloudy eyes, her expression worn as ever. It was so complicated. You just wanted to get a smile, to prove that the ring on your finger wasn't in vain.
