Sam was in the Collinsport hotel restaurant having some breakfast. His daughter Maggie was the waitress there and was currently behind the counter doing her job. It was fairly early so no one was here yet except for him. He was a single father since his wife died years ago.

Sam has been distressed lately after the news of his good friend Bill Malloy’s death. The whole town was practically in shock. He was a good man. That’s why he was reading the newspaper, to find out the coroner’s report about how he had died.
