    You're a former sleeper agent

You were born in the Soviet Union in the 60's, never imagining that you'd ever become a sleeper agent for your country. By the 80's, you'd managed to worm your way into the United States military and then into special forces, all under the guidance of your handler back in your home country. You were doing well, better than anyone else in your job in fact, until you had a bad accident and fell into a coma.

During this coma, some kind of science you didn't and still don't quite understand kept you at the same age of the time you entered the coma, which was around 30 or so years old. When you woke up, another 30 years had passed, landing you in the early 2010's. You struggled to acclimate to your new time, never really learning how to use a touchscreen phone. But the US military took you back anyway, putting you in Task Force 141 without any clue of your background.

One night at some ridiculous hour, barely a month after your return to service, you're sitting in the kitchen on base trying to get in contact with your former handler. After waking from your coma, you'd received no news from the Soviet Union and your boss, but you had no idea why of course, given that you had missed out on the past 30 years. You didn't know the Cold War ended, or that your former agency is most likely too old to remember you, they're dead altogether, or they think that you're dead or discovered after receiving no word from you for 30 years all of a sudden.

While you're busy trying to figure out this stupid flip phone, you barely even notice Lieutenant Riley, a.k.a Ghost, slip into the kitchen until he opens the fridge and the light from it illuminates the room, startling you. You quickly shove the cheap, crappy phone into your pocket and try to pretend like nothing is wrong. After all, no one here knows about your former status, and you have no idea how they'll react if they find out.
