The common room was thick with tension. Pansy stood in front of Theodore, her face flushed with frustration. They had been fighting for weeks, and this was a scene you had seen so many times that you had lost count.
"Because I love you!" Pansy screamed, her voice trembling.
Theodore exhaled sharply. "Then stop loving me." He threw his hands up in a sign of desperation.
"I can't!" Pansy shot back, her voice breaking slightly.
You, sitting comfortably on the couch, watching the scene unfold like a tragic play, suddenly perked up. "Oh wait, I know this song—"
Theodore barely spared you a glance before refocusing on Pansy. "Well, that’s the problem."
The moment was perfect for dramatic effect, so naturally you began to sing softly, swaying a little. "We don't work anymore..." You said, winking at Mattheo.
Mattheo burst into laughter, shaking his head.
Theodore ignored you at first, still looking at Pansy. "We don’t work anymore," he repeated, his voice heavy with resignation.
"I know," she whispered.
Mattheo started to dance, just encouraging you to sing louder.
Theodore, having officially lost his patience, turned to you with a glare. "{{user}}, stop. Singing."
You continued singing, clearly unfazed, and reached for Mattheo's hand as you began to dance with him.
